Casa do Alentejo

The Casa do Alentejo is a real jewel and therefore easy to overlook. The astoundingly unspectacular outside contrasts in a very “lisbonense” way with the astonishing interior. One finds himself in what seems to be a Moorish temple, with magnificent ornaments, palms and a fountain in the centre. The stairs lead up to the restaurant on the right side, where a dinner can be enjoyed in a unique ambiance. To the left side, the scenery gets rather surreal, a huge hall with the glamour of former times. Very charming place!

Open daily, buffet lunch, dinner from 7pm. Rua das Portas de Santo Antão, 58 (Metro Rossio or Restauradores)

Chapitô

This extraordinary place is pure delight: it not only offers a fantastic view over the river, there is also a high chance to see young artists performing their formidable work. This cultural centre dedicates its work to the instruction of children and youngsters in a broad range of arts: theatre, dance, circus arts, performance, you name it. The restaurant upstairs is nothing but a beautiful spot, one of those places you’d only take your beloved ones to. Phantasmagorical!

open daily from 7 pm to 1.30 am
Saturday and Sunday from 12.30 pm to 1.30 am
