Shopping in Lisbon

As in any other city you don’t have to miss the usual suspects such as H&M, Benetton, Zara and so on. However, Lisbon offers a surprisingly vivid fashion-scene, and for all of those that know the Bairro Alto only for its fabulous nightlife should hit it at least once during daytime. Curious shoppers will find here at least as many shops as there are bars during the night – with the same difficulty to see them all. Here’s a little guide to some of our favourites!

Rua do Norte

In this street you can’t go wrong. It’s simply a gold mine of fetching little shops, each and every one with its unique style and charm.

#25 – el dorado see more

Wide range of vintage fashion and accessories.

#32 – Onitsuka Tiger / Sneakers Delight see more

Fashionable sneakers and T-shirts. The shop reminds of a gallery, and in fact the shoes are presented like works of art.

#113 – Skunkfunk see more

Relatively big shop with a wide range of clothes of the in-house brand.

Waves & Woods, Travessa da Queimada #36 see more

Sneakers, T-shirts, Music. Skate and Street-style.

Rua da Rosa

Less shops than in Rua do Norte, but nevertheless worth a visit. Friends of accessories can spend hours in this street.

#130 – A Fábrica dos Chapéus see more

High quality hats and caps made in Portugal. People that never wore hats are likely to turn into hat-lovers in here. A few meters afar the sister-shop is located: A Fábrica do Acessório (#169), offering classy accessories for both girls and ladies. The perfect place to get a gift for one’s sister AND mother.

#197 – Galeria de Exclusivos see more

Entrance via “Matéria Prima”, an interesting music store. Female fashion made by local designers. Extraordinary and vanguard fashion.

#85 – MAOMAO SHOP

Tiny shop with single pieces of sweaters and bags. No homepage, but the friendly staff makes up for it!
